HOW TO MAKE WHITENING BASE CREAM
Whitening base recipe
Ingredients:
198 grams carrier oils
1091 grams distilled water
57 grams Emulsifying wax
57 grams stearic acid
57 grams vegetable glycerin
30 grams propylene glycol
10 grams citric acid
10 grams allantoine
10 grams niacinamide
10 grams licorice powder
5 grams preservative
5 grams edta
Here am using equal parts of emulsifying wax
and stearic acid because the base cream
should be thick.By the time you add your
additives in promixing you will get al otion
consistency
Formula:
Start double boiler for oil
phase,measure out ewax,stearic acid and set
aside.Weight carrier oils on a scale.Heat oil
phase,combine and melt carrier oils,ewax and
stearic acid on low heat on top part of your
double boiler.
Heat just until the ewax and
stearic acid have melted.Remove from heat
and add your vitamin e oil,allow to cool to
about135°f.
Measure out water phase(distilled
water and glycerine)in a jar or pot,heat for
about 3 minutes(what you should get is 120°f).
Pour your propylene glycol and citric acid into
the water and stir.
After that pour water phase
into the oil while constantly blending.
When lotion mixture is below 120°f,add your
additives(Allantoine and niacinamides shoulde
be dissolved with ethanol,while licorice and
Alpha arbutin dissolved in water).
The last phase should be adding your
preservatives(germel plus or
phenoxyethanol),your essential or fragrance
oils choice.
